Epilepsy Awareness
Course aim :
This half day course provides awareness of Epilepsy and identifies the physical, emotional and social challenges that individuals may encounter.
Learning outcomes :
- Recognise the characteristics of Epilepsy
- Recognise the types of seizure
- Identify the triggers of seizure
- Identify strategies for managing Epilepsy
Course content :
- What is Epilepsy ??
- What are seizures ??
- Signs and symptoms of different seizure types
- Care of the individual, both during and after seizures
- Emergency treatment for seizures
- Treatment and control of Epilepsy
